GRANITE
Very compact igneous Rock with crystalline texture. It is composed basically of three elements: feldspar, quartz, mica, and some other minerals like apatite, magnetite, and sphene. Granite crystallizes from magma that cools slowly. It is harder than the marble and the limestone, making more difficult the extraction and subsequent transformation process. Currently diamond tools are used for its elaboration. It is used mainly in the construction.
